Things my students say...

Today my students asked me when the baby was due. I told them November 12th. They then asked me when I was finished working. I replied with November 12th. My students were shocked that I would work until then. I had to explain that the baby could come any time between now and 2 weeks after my due date which was around November 26th. After that the question of how the baby got here came up. "Mrs. Whittington do they cut the baby out of you." At this point I said they should probably ask their parents how the baby got here. One of the students replied with "You have to push it out." I just laughed and moved on.

My students must like me because in the conversations we had today they thought that I shouldn't go off work. There idea was that I have the baby and then bring the baby to work with me. Everyday one of the students jobs would be to teach the baby...ah to be young and not realize how much work a baby is. I'm so glad that they want to help. I can hardly wait to come back and visit them with the baby.
